A Nevada man is in custody following a vehicle pursuit after a vehicle failed to stop for a
deputy who was attempting to make a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.
According to officials with the Sheriff’s Office, the deputy attempted the traffic stop at Elm and
Walnut in Nevada when the vehicle failed to stop. Other units were notified, and Nevada
Police Officer assisted in getting the vehicle to stop at Lynn and Maple where the suspect
was taken into custody without incident.
Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said the suspect has been identified as 53-year-old
Andrew Miller of Nevada, Mo. Miller’s charges include Resisting Arrest, Failure to
Register Motor Vehicle, and Operating a Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial
Responsibility.
Miller is currently being held at the Vernon County Jail on a $500 bond.
