NEVADA POLICE EXECUTE NARCOTIC SEARCH WARRANT

On January 19, 2021 Nevada Police executed a search warrant in the 600 block of W. Hickory Street in response to reports of the distribution of illegal narcotics at that location.

Detectives had developed information regarding two male subjects at that location that had reportedly been involved in illegal drug activity that was occurring within a protected location, near a school.

During the search detectives located and seized a large quantity of suspected controlled substances including methamphetamine, ecstasy, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and quantities of numerous pills classified as controlled substances. The evidence seized has been sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.

The two subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding by Nevada Police. The subjects has been identified as follows:

Kristopher B. Douglas, age 46 of Nevada

Robert D. Stutesman, age 48 of Nevada

On January 20, 2021, the following charges were filed against Kristopher B. Douglas and Robert D. Stutesman through the Vernon County Associate Court:

One (1) Count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance In a Protected Location – Class A Felony

Thirteen (13) Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Class D Felony

One (1) Count Keeping or Maintaining A Public Nuisance – Class E Felony

Douglas and Stutesman are being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash only bond.
