Through a generous donation of over 100 DVD’s and audio books, the Adrian Community Library has another free service for their patrons. These DVD’s and audio books are checked out like the hardback books for children through adults. Also hundreds of paperback books are available to take home, read, and return for more. For those who wish to read on an electronic device, an Overdrive app may be downloaded for you by obtaining a password at the library to have audio-books, e-books and streaming videos available. Ancestry.com is a free service to all patrons along with all other services the library supports. The staff is ready to help you get started on your search for family members and friends. Be a friend with us on Facebook, see us on the web at ‘adriancommunitylibrary.org’ and join our Book Detectives Book Club, Walking Books group, stitchery classes on Tuesday mornings and computer classes on Thursday mornings.
The library will be sponsoring face painting by Studio 101 at the Adrian Fall Festival on Saturday, October 19, and giving out pencils during Sight & Safety night on Halloween. The annual Chili & Soup Supper will be Friday, November 1, at the South Optimist Building with great food and hometown visiting.
The library located at 116 East Main is open Monday & Tuesday from 2:00 – 6:00 and Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 – 6:00. Come see us and check out a book to read or spend time on our computers during these cold winter days. As our slogan says “We will take you where you want to go”
