For the residents within the city limits of Adrian and Public Water Supply District #5, due to a pump mishap at the water plant, your water may have a reddish/pink color to it. This is not a health hazard it is an ascetic problem. The City of Adrian recommends that you avoid doing laundry for the next 24 hours due to the possibility of staining clothes. Missouri Department of Natural Resources has been notified and they do not say it’s necessary or require you to boil your water. Again this is an ascetic issue and not a health hazard, so drinking or bathing is safe.
