NRMC Foundation Receives Mammogram Funds

Nevada Regional Medical Center (NRMC) Foundation was recently the recipient of a $1,000 donation from H.O.P.E. 4-You Breast Cancer Foundation in Joplin, Mo. NRMC is one of several area hospitals receiving funds from the H.O.P.E. 4-You Foundation to assist in providing mammogram screenings to uninsured and underinsured women.

Each October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, NRMC hosts a Ladies Night offering free mammograms to qualifying individuals. This program has been made possible, in part, by annual donations from the H.O.P.E. 4-You Foundation. Research surveys in Vernon County have indicated that mammograms are one area of health care in which women are underserved.

“We are honored to have this continued support from the H.O.P.E. 4-You Breast Cancer Foundation,” says Natalie Eberhard, Foundation Director at NRMC. “Generous donations such as these allow us to help dozens of women get the care they would not otherwise be able to afford. And I’m certain that has saved lives.”
