On 7/26/20, at approximately 3:50pm, the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a fatal motorcycle accident on Peculiar Drive at East 195th Street in rural Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when two Harley Davidson motorcycles were heading northbound when the bike in the back struck the back of the other bike ejecting both drivers.
Fred McInnis, 66 years old from Liberty, Missouri was pronounced deceased at Belton Regional Hospital in Belton.
The other rider, 52 year old Richard H. O’Connell of Peculiar, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries in this accident and was transported by ambulance to Belton Regional Medical Center.
