Bates County Health Center is pleased that individuals that fall into the State of MO vaccination phase 1B tier 3 will be eligible to begin receiving vaccine on March 15, 2021. Individuals within this group include:
*Education
*Childcare
*Communications Sector
*Dams Sector
*Energy Sector
*Food/Agriculture Sector—initial
*Government
*Information Technology Sector
*Nuclear Reactors, Materials, and Waste Sector
*Transportation Systems Sector
*Water and Wastewater Systems Sector
As this will increase the number of individuals eligible, the supply of vaccine that the State of Missouri is allocated and therefore distributes to the communities will still not meet the demand for those seeking vaccinations.
Guidance from MO Vaccination Team is that vaccinators should not exhaust an entire vaccine shipment supply on one specific population knowing that all tiers in Phase 1 will be open and anyone in Phase 1 should have the same ability to access vaccine. As local public health departments receive the smallest portion of vaccine allocation, they will not have sufficient vaccine to provide any “on-site” workplace vaccination clinics. Bates County Health Center will continue to take names on their waiting list and work through it with each shipment of vaccine. Please call 660-679-6108 to be added to the waiting list.
