July 10th Postal Rate Increase:
In our local news for today, there is yet another price increase on our plates as consumers.
The United State Postal Service increased the price of a first-class stamp from 58 cents to 60 cents,
this is a price increase of 3.4 percent. This covers the price of a 1-ounce letter, an additional ounce costs 24 cents.
Also on July 10th the postal rates increased on the cost of metered letters, this cost rose to 57 cents and outbound international letters increased to $1.40 per letter.
These postal rates went into effect on July 10th .
