The Bates County Relay for Life Steering Committee announces that this year’s event, scheduled
for Saturday, June 6, has been cancelled. Contributions will still be accepted, of course, because finding a cure for cancer is as important and urgent as ever.
The Committee thanks all those who have helped make past relays successful – the teams, the planners, the corporate sponsors, entertainers and all contributors.
If you wish to contribute this year, you may make your payment online by going to the Cancer Society website: secure.acsevents.org and enter Butler’s zip code, then click on Butler/Bates County and then on “donate” for directions. You may choose to write a check payable to Bates County Relay for Life, and drop it off or mail it to Sharon Cumpton, Public Administrator, 108 E. Fort Scott St., Butler, MO. Cindy Carrillo at World Finance on the South Side of the Butler Square is also taking payments.
Event leaders trust that the Bates County Relay for Life will be back on the Butler Square, better than ever, in 2021.
