Lionel Barrymore received an immediate response in the hearts of people everywhere when they first heard the release of Charles Dickenson’s holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol” broadcast across the radio air waves in 1939.

Your Bates County Museum has revived the tradition of airing this beloved story of Scrooge on Christmas Eve.
