From the desk of Mayor Jason Rich : After much consideration, Mayor Rich has have decided he will not be running for mayor in April of 2021. He would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to serve the Rich Hill community.
While he believes they have made a lot of progress over the four and one-half years he has been a board member and then mayor, there is a lot of work to go.
Mayor Rich and the current Rich Hill Board, will work their hardest to resolve as many as they can before April, but there will be many complex issues remaining for the next mayor and 2021 Board of Alderman.
Mayor Jason Rich is letting everyone know now, so individuals can begin considering running for this position.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
