Rich Hill Youth Facility donates Community Shelter House

The Rich Hill Youth Facility closed their doors in 2019.. The Community Lesion Council hosted many fundraisers over the years, such as the yearly Firestone tire raffle. Those proceeds and other fundraising dollars were used to assist with the needs of the residents housed in the facility.

When the doors closed there were funds accessible from donations. The Community Lesion Council announced today that those donation dollars will be used to build a Shelter House in the West Park of Rich Hill.

Those donations will go back into the community with the construction of a 24 by 24 Shelter house, complete with 3 picnic tables with benches. The use of the Community Shelter will be  free of charge for such events as birthday parties, family gatherings or special events where those attending need shelter from the elements.

The Rich Hill Community Lesion Council hopes the construction will be completed by the 4th of July.
