The Butler Fire Department along with Adrian Fire Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a one vehicle accident shortly before 5:30pm Sunday evening at the I-49 and Passaic Exit in Bates County.
A black four door car traveled off the roadway and down the embankment. One male subject was life flighted with serious injuries and another subject fled from the vehicle on foot.
Police canvased the Passaic area for the subject who fled from the accident. The subject was taken into custody shortly after the incident and is now in custody.
