Solar Eclipse Watch Party Scheduled for Monday, August 21st

The nation is gearing up for the historic eclipse event taking place Monday, August 21st. Hopefully, you’ve already picked up your certified viewing glasses because all the local locations that had them available have been cleaned out. If possible, we suggest you check areas outside of Butler to see if the certified viewing glasses are available. Remember, you should never look directly at the sun during the eclipse. There are easy to follow instructions for making your own viewing device online.

A Solar Eclipse “Watch Party” will be held at the Butler Public Library beginning at approximately 11:30 am with observation expected to peak at approximately 1:05pm.
