Susie French Retires After 44 Years of Service

On July 31, 2020, Susie French retired from Bates County Memorial Hospital after 44 years of service. On behalf of the hospital, Dr. John Bustle, CEO, presented Susie with a beautiful wall pendulum clock. Susie began her employment in 1976 as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career at BCMH, Susie has provided compassionate patient care to our inpatients. As a leader for the organization, Susie has mentored many new nursing graduates. She has experienced 44 years of changes in healthcare, with the integration of technology in providing patient care. To Susie, her patients were an extension of her family. Serving our community for 44 years is a testament to her commitment and dedication to the nursing profession. Her presence on the nursing unit will be missed. Susie has traveled throughout the United States, with only four state capitols left to visit. She and her husband, Paul, intend to continue their travels and enjoy retirement together.
