Thank You from the Children

The Toys for Tykes drive has been another huge success. All children have been adopted by the gracious community. The final reminder is for those that have adopted the children.

Those gifts must be delivered to either Mullinax Funeral Home or Mattress Plus Furniture Store by 5 pm on Friday, December 10th. The children of Bates County say “ Thank You” for your donations.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton. In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
