The 59th Annual Western Farm Show is coming to the American Royal February 21st thru 23rd. The Western Farm Show is the Midwest’s best indoor farm show with over 500 exhibitors, acres of things to see and do, and the latest in farm and ranch technology and so much more. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
