Tracy Scott McLain, age 59, son of Neil and Sharon McLain of Butler, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. He was surrounded by love from his family. Tracy was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Raymore, Missouri.
Tracy was born at Noll Memorial Hospital in Bethany, Missouri on October 25, 1961. He attended grade school in Chillicothe, Missouri and finished fifth and sixth grades in Raymore, Missouri followed by graduating from high school at Raymore-Peculiar. Tracy was a star athlete holding many records and awards in track and cross country. After graduation he attended CMSU in Warrensburg, Missouri on a track scholarship.
Tracy was a dedicated employee of Pepsico for over 18 years. He never meet a stranger, cared about his friends and loved animals. His hobbies were golf, music and collecting vintage stereo equipment. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tracy deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Neil and Sharon McLain; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lynne McLain; niece, Lynnsey Shade and husband Randy; nephew, Lee McLain and wife Emily; and three great-nieces, Izabella Rose Shade, Scarlett James Shade and Magnolia Ann McLain. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Pauline McLain, Doyle and Harriett Booth and a cousin, Travis Booth.
He was very proud of his family. We will miss him so much.
