On Tuesday, June 8th at around 2pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County responded to a single vehicle accident on Route AA at approximately half a mile East of County Road 12001.
According to the Highway Patrol the accident occurred when a 2009 Toyota Camry, driven by a 16 year old, female juvenile of Drexel, ran off the north side of the roadway, overcorrected and ran off the south side of the roadway, stuck an embankment, overturned, and struck a fence before coming to rest on its wheels.
The 16 year old juvenile was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash and sustained minor injuries in this accident. She was transported by private vehicle to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
