On Monday, March 6th at approximately 6:50 pm, a 2 vehicle accident occurred on F highway west of 6001 Road in Bates County.
The accident happened when a westbound 2005 Buick Lacrosse driven by Richard Koehler, age 82, of Butler struck the tire of an eastbound 2022 International Harvester. Mr. Koehler sustained serious injuries in the accident and was transported by EMS to Bates County Memorial Hospital.
James Cox, age 20, driver of the International Harvester was not injured and was able to drive away from the scene.
