Adrian Chamber of Commerce is excited that they are going ahead with the Fall Festival! It will be held October 17th from 9am to 1pm rain or shine. There will be some changes due to covid (and just being 2020) that will be different from previous years. They will still have vendors and will still be doing a car show with classic cars and trucks but will not have a blow up slide, kids activities, or anything that will keep folks from being able to social distance. The layout will also be different. In order to leave space between vendors, they will be marking & assigning spots this year. In order to do this, vendors will be located on both sides of the street from the railroad tracks to the funeral home to ensure there is adequate space to spread out and social distance. This is also why the Adrian Chamber of Commerce decided to scale back the categories on the car show which will be located on Virginia Street (runs north and south through Main Street). This way everyone can spread out more and adhere to the advice of the Bates County Health Department to allow everyone to have a great time while encouraging social distancing. Since the event is outside, they will not require everyone to wear a mask, just encourage everyone to social distance. Please be respectful of those who choose to wear a mask or not wear a mask! The Adrian Chamber of Commerce is doing their best to be able to still have a festival that everyone can get outdoors and enjoy!
If interested in being a vendor, please stop by to see Jennifer Cassaday @ Byrd’s Pecan Delights or Daniel Horner @ the Wine Journal. Booth space will be $20 a spot and spaces will be assigned this year so they can assure spacing between each booth and the Adrian Fall Festival will also be limited in the amount of vendors they can take on so get signed up asap if you are interested! Vendors will each be given a social distance sign to display and hand sanitizer to set out for customers. You will receive this the day of when you arrive to set up. Spots will also be handed according to when vendors pay. Those that pay for their spot first will be closer to the main intersection with the car show versus those that pay later.
If interested in the car show, they will have two categories of classic cars and trucks only this year. Entry fee will be $10. You need to be on the street and parked by 9am. Judging will be in two categories… pre-war era & post-war era categories. Prizes will be 1st place: $100 cash, 2nd place: $50 cash, 3rd place: $25 cash. Winners will be announced at 12:30pm.
