Veterans Day Dinner – Elks Lodge of Butler

The Bates County Elks Lodge #2653 will be hosting their annual Veterans Day Dinner on Sunday, November 10th at the Bates County Elks Lodge, located just south of the Bates County Museum on Elks Drive in Butler. The dinner will begin at 1pm.

This dinner is for Veterans and their families to come and enjoy a nice meal in honor of their service to our country. Turkey will be the main course along with the traditional Thanksgiving sides.

This Veterans Day dinner is free for all Veterans, Spouses and extended families on Sunday, November 10th, beginning at 1pm.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton. In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
