Monday, March 21, 2022, the City will be working to repair a leak at the corner of Maple & N. Truman, and will also be installing a new water line at Pine & Washington Streets. The water will be shut off in town from 8:00AM-12:00PM to complete this work. Thank you for your understanding while we take care of these issues. In the case of inclement weather, this work could possibly be pushed to Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 8:00AM-12:00PM.

Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
