The Western Missouri Antique Tractor and Machinery Association Fall Swap Meet will be September 25th and 26th at Frontier Village in Adrian. Gates open at 8 am each day and there is no admission fee. Find antique and classic tractor parts, farm implements and equipment, books and manuals, check out the different vendor booths. The Ladies Auxiliary will serve a great breakfast Saturday morning only starting at 6 am. Bates County Broadcasting opened as a single day-time station on May 11th 1962. Broadcasting from sunrise to sunset 7-days each week. This was the first radio station to broadcast in the Bates County Area. Owned and Operated by Bill Thornton and his brother Jerry Thornton.
In 1975 the FM Frequency was added and the stations simulcast. The FM has a 24 hours license but just broadcast from 6 am until 10 pm.
