DSWA Certified Public Accountants and Larry & Carol Ann Winburn are pleased to report that over 200 area young people now have new warm jackets, thanks to overwhelming support for this year’s Coats for Kids project. The drawing for donor/participant prizes was held at the DSWA Butler office on Monday, Dec. 16, with the following winners: Dean Payne of Amsterdam won the FoodSaver vacuum sealer; Bill Thornton of Butler won the $50 gift certification to Vintage Treasures at What to Wear on the Butler square; and Steve and Cheryl Lincoln of Adrian won the $25 gift certificate to Stoplight Market in Butler. The DSWA staff and the Winburns extend their sincere gratitude to area school and pre-school nurses and teachers for nominating the coat recipients, to the Butler WalMart for providing warm jackets at a discount, and to all the participants throughout Bates County who support this annual program with their generous cash donations. The warmest thank yous are those on the faces of 200 happy youngsters who will have brand-new coats this winter purchased just for them
